Long code service in India

A long code is a 10-digit virtual number that receives SMS on your behalf without a SIM in anybody's drawer. It is the workhorse for two-way conversation: customers text a keyword, the platform replies automatically, and the number lands in your CRM.

🔢Long code

A two-way number that belongs to you, with no SIM to manage.

Outbound SMS is a monologue. A long code makes it a conversation: the customer can reply, confirm, opt in, vote or ask for a callback, and every inbound message arrives in your panel and on your webhook with the sender's number attached. For a surprising number of businesses that single capability replaces a form, a phone line and a spreadsheet.

Keywords are what make it cheap. On a shared long code you own a keyword rather than the whole number — a customer texting OFFER to the number reaches you, somebody texting a different keyword reaches another business, and you pay a fraction of a dedicated number's price. When the volume or the branding justifies it, you take the number exclusively with unlimited keywords.

  • Keyword campaigns — customers text OFFER to your number and are auto-replied and logged.
  • Two-way SMS so customers can confirm, opt in, vote or request a callback.
  • Shared or dedicated — share a code by keyword to cut cost, or take one exclusively.
  • Incoming pushed to your CRM by webhook the moment it lands.
  • Unlimited incoming on all plans, with no per-message receiving charge.
How it works

From enquiry to first message, usually the same day.

Choose shared or dedicated

Shared with your own keyword is the cheap entry point; dedicated gives you the whole number and unlimited keywords.

Register your keywords

OFFER, PRICE, STOP, BOOK — whatever your campaign asks customers to send.

Set the auto-reply

Each keyword gets its own instant reply: a price list, a brochure link, a confirmation or a Smart SMS page.

Receive it in your system

Every inbound message is posted to your webhook with the sender's number, keyword and timestamp.

Pricing

What it costs, written down.

Long code or short code?

A long code is for conversation and CRM: cheap, two-way, fine when the number is given out digitally. A short code is for advertising, because five digits are remembered and ten are not. If your number is going on a hoarding, pay for the short code.

FAQ

Long code, answered.

What is a long code number?

A 10-digit virtual mobile number that receives SMS and calls for your business without a physical SIM. It is best for two-way conversation and lead capture, where the customer sends a keyword and the platform replies and logs the number automatically.

What is the difference between a long code and a short code?

A long code is 10 digits, cheaper, and best for two-way conversation and CRM integration. A short code is 5 digits, costs more, and is what you put in an advertisement because people actually remember it. Both receive SMS and support keyword campaigns.

Do I get the whole number to myself?

Only on a dedicated plan. On the cheaper shared plans you own a keyword on a number shared with other businesses, which works well as long as your campaign always tells customers which keyword to send. Dedicated gives you the number exclusively with unlimited keywords.

Is there a charge for incoming messages?

No. Incoming is unlimited on all plans with no per-message receiving charge — you are paying for the number and the keywords, not for the traffic they attract.
